Electrical Contact Lubricants

Ability to regulate the flow of current while remaining inert to the surge, good anti-corrosion and anti-wear properties and high surface tension to avoid migration are some of the desired properties of good electrical contact greases. In addition to these, the lubricant should also be compatible with plastics and elastomers.

Applications where electrical contact lubricants are being used currently in the industry include ignition and micro switches, plug connectors, printed circuit boards, combination switch, mirror adjustment switches, wiper motors, starter and window regulator motors.
