Addressing a drinking water concern
The renovated RO water unit at Vrushabhavathipura, Bidadi.
Vrushabhavathipura is just a throw away from the industrial hub, yet the setting is of a typical village. No rush, children scampering around the banyan tree, elderly gazing at the passers by, a distant honk, bovine creatures going by their regular rosters, muddy scent, mostly calm and relaxing.
However, for their drinking water needs, the village folk visited RO units in the neighbouring village limits as the existing set-up was in bad condition and shut. Connecting with local village team and authorities at Bidadi Town Corporation, BECHEM engaged in the process of renovating the set-up.
The rejuvenated plant now serves the drinking water needs of close to 200 families in this motley village 😀.
Focusing on identifying key projects that can benefit the local communities over the years, BECHEM in its own small but impactful way has sponsored six RO water installations in the nearby vicinity. Apart from Vrushabhavathipura, the drinking water project from BECHEM has positively impacted lives of people in the villages of Abbanakuppe, Paregowdanapalya, Kurubarakarenhalli as well as the police training academy in the town of Channapatna. A similar project in the village of Banandoor is currently work in progress and is expected to be operational by end of March 2024.
Education and skill development are two other subjects that we are actively engaged through select foundations.
