Foundation for excellence (FFE), an NGO which provides scholarships for students from economically weaker backgrounds, aims to help exceptionally talented students to pursue their higher education in medicine and engineering. FFE awards scholarships for those students who have outgrown their challenges and secured top rankings in national/state level common entrance tests. The support process at FFE augments the scholarship program with soft skills training and upskilling opportunities for Engineering and Medical students, preparing them for their career roles.

Based on the effectiveness of the initiative, BECHEM India partnered with Foundation for Excellence to support more students in need of assistance. FFE’s mission aligns with BECHEM India’s CSR theme of supporting Education and Skill Development. In the first leg, the company sponsored a part of the tuition fees for 50 students who were pursuing their medical and engineering courses. The company’s commitment for financial assistance to these students would be till the entire period of the course.

Over the years, the project has also been extended to the courses of ‘Law’ and ‘BPharma’ as additional professional courses that would be covered under the programme.
