BECHEM India sponsors an ambulance to ‘Bidadi Industries Association (BIA)’ to serve the local community and industries at Bidadi.

With the COVID-19 infection rates fortunately showing a downtrend, the current mood of the general public is upswing to resume back to the regular activities albeit with care. However, the crisis tested the resilience of the medical & healthcare community and emergency equipment infrastructure to its threshold. While the respective Governments have increased spending and focus on health and wellness, private entities too can play an important role to cover the gap.

Contributing to the cause, BECHEM India has sponsored an ambulance that would be operated by BIA in coordination with District Health Office to meet the emergency medical needs of the local community and industries. While services of the ambulance would be free of cost to the local villagers, there would be a nominal cost for the use of industries. The ready to use air-conditioned ambulance is equipped with regular facilities such as basic life support system, auto loader stretcher trolley with floor mounting mechanism etc.

Bringing Aah! (curiosity),Aha! (creativity) Ha-Ha!(confidence) in under privileged children and government school teachers is the motto of Agastya Foundation. A non profit organization began its journey in April 1999 and so far, has touched 10 million students and 300,000 teachers.

The foundation delivers its programs across India through mobile lab vans, lab on bikes, science centers, and night village school centers. The mobile lab, “Science on Wheels”, is equipped with science models and low-cost experiments. The mobile van visits under-resourced schools and help students experience the fascinating world of science. The mobile lab is accompanied by two knowledgeable teachers who demonstrate models and elaborate the science behind them.

In the initial engagement phase, BECHEM India has associated with Agastya foundation by sponsoring a mobile van equipped with science models and low-cost experiment apparatus. The mobile science van will travel through the remote schools of Gulbarga in Karnataka. Upon success, the project will be expanded to reach more students through additional mobile labs.

BECHEM India is proud to be associated with the ‘The Akshaya Patra Initiative’ by ISKCON in its endeavor to serve nutritious food to children in Government and aided schools across the country. ‘The Akshaya Patra Initiative’ is credited as the world’s largest not for profit mid-day meal programme serving hot, wholesome food to over 1.7 million children in 14, 314* schools across the country.

From donating food delivery trucks to sponsoring meals across schools, BECHEM India in association with ‘Akshaya Patra Foundation’ contributes to the cause of a bright and a stronger future.

Coinciding with the movement of Swach Bharat Abhiyan or Clean India Mission that aims to eliminate open defecation and ensure cleaner streets, BECHEM India in collaboration with ‘Bidadi Industries Association’ has installed a self cleaning ‘e-toilet’ for the benefit of the local community.  Maintained by ‘Bidadi Industries Association’, the ‘e-toilet’ is set up near the local ‘Abbankuppe’ bus stop and can be used with a flip of a coin.

The pre-primary Government school at Abbanakuppe Colony, near Ittamadu village in Bidadi is where one would experience spring of energy spreading unbridled joy. The enthusiasm and innocence of these young sparks cannot be missed. Over a period of time, BECHEM India has supported the school management in their infrastructure needs such as a toilets, building refurbishment work, furniture needs, computers and books.

The BECHEM team’s involvement with the school is not limited to just monetary aid, the company personnel are encouraged to join the children in their excursions as well celebrate with the them in their Sports day celebrations.
