Heavy Duty Lubricants
Contact surfaces that operate under heavy loads usually operate in the boundary and mixed lubrication regime where frictional coefficient is higher with moderate wear rate. Conventional greases are not equipped to perform at such loads and might not be able to maintain strong lubricating film, resulting in metal to metal contact. During regular operation, continuous accumulation of wear debris in the lubricant will also accelerate the wear rate unless it is cleaned out. A permanent weld of the bearing, breakage of shaft or extensive damage to gear tooth is a distinct possibility with regular greases.
BECHEM’s range of heavy duty greases formulated with high base oil viscosity and equipped with anti wear and EP additives ensure consistent, high strength lubricant film under boundary and mixed condition. These additives also form a strong lubrication film during start up and run down of bearing. The special EP additives prevents metal to metal contact even under high loads as well as sudden shock loads
